The Role of Social Network on Labor Market of Internal Migrant: Labor Force Participation, Earnings, and Subjective Well-Being

Research Description: 

Using the IFLS-5, her dissertation paid special attention to the workings of social networks for internal migrants in Indonesia in obtaining a job and then explaining job search strategies and their relationships with better job outcomes. In addition, her dissertation will investigate the quality of life of migrants reflected through life satisfaction and job satisfaction.

Short Bio:

Siti Parhah is a PhD Candidate in Economics at Universitas Padjadjaran. She is a lecturer at the Department of Economic Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (Indonesia University of Education). She earned her bachelor degree in Economic Education from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (2003) and a Master degree in Economics from Universitas Indonesia (2006). Her research interest is in the area of Economics of Education and Labor Economics.
