FGD – Green Economy for Economic Recovery
SDGs Unpad participated in the green economy event for economic recovery organized by the Fiscal Policy Agency of the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. The background of this FGD is to produce an exit policy by first identifying potential issues that are prioritized related to climate, green economy, sustainable finance for the G20 meeting.
This FGD was opened by Mr. Suminta as an expert staff of the Minister of Finance in the field of macroeconomics and international finance. Which was continued by Mrs. Fauziah Zen as ERIA’s Senior Economist who explained the green economy and the approach is taken to achieve a green economy and the role of the green economy in economic recovery.

Fiscal stimulus is not the main instrument to achieve green development because it is short term. Long-term policy plans (carbon pricing, phasing out) have the potential to contribute.
This event discussed supporting the green economy, government support in the use of blockchain technology as a means of controlling funding for green economy initiatives, etc.
