Prof. Armida S. Alisjahbana

Prof. Armida is founder of the SDGs Center Unpad. She is a lecturer at Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Padjadjaran. She earned her B.A. in Economics from University of Indonesia, M.A. in Economics from Northwestern University, and PhD in Economics from University of Washington. She serves as a Member of Independent Team of Advisors to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). She also serves as Governing Board Member of Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA). She is also a Member of Indonesian Academy of Sciences (Akademisi Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia – AIPI).

She has served as the Minister of National Development Planning and Head of the National Development Planning Agency (BAPPENAS) in Indonesia (2009-2014). She also served as co-chair of Global Partnership along with Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala (Co-ordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Nigeria), and Justine Greening (Secretary of State for International Development, United Kingdom).
