Dr. Pham Khan Nam
Dr. Pham Khan Nam joined EEPSEA since 2000 as a researcher and has been in charge of EEPSEA research as deputy director since 2011. He is also senior research fellow of the Environment for Development Initiatives (University of Gothenburg). Recently, he has appointed as a member of the Behavioural Insights Research Committee of the Green Growth Knowledge Platform. In his university’s job, Nam has extensive experiences in constructing and managing graduate and Phd programs in various fields from environmental economics, development economics and health economics.
He has also consulted to various national and international organizations such as Vietnam Environment Administration (VEA), Vietnam SIDA Environmental Fund (SEF), International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), International Sustainability Unit – The Prince’s Charities (ISU), Australian Agency for International Development (AusAid), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA), and Poverty Reduction and Environment Management (PREM) of the Free University Amsterdam.
His areas of research interest are behavioral economics, experimental economics and environmental economics with a particular focus on social dilemmas related to the use of common resources; the role of social preferences in economic decisions; and decisions of economic agents under risk and uncertainty.
